According to NPD DisplaySearch, Apple may not release a retina iPad mini this year, instead opting for a version which has a faster processor and will come with iOS 7. This will be quite a shame if Apple does this as a lot of current and future iPad mini owners are looking for a device with Retina Display and better screen quality.
?The new iPad mini will continue to use a 7.9-inch display with a 1024?768 resolution, but it will use the iOS 7 operating system and an A6 processor,? DisplaySearch?s Richard Shim said.
That means that there will be hardly any revolutionary changes to the iPad mini if Shim?s predictions are true.
According to numerous sources Apple?s production of a Retina version of the iPad mini have been pushed back until early 2014, which is why a lot of research companies predicting that the Retina Display version of the iPad mini will be coming next year, instead of this year.
